Culture.

Culture and collaboration are at the heart of Logan’s work. He approaches every project with a sympathetic lens, recently partnering with artist Corinne Avazian on two upcoming film releases.

Beyond the art world, Logan is a highly experienced director of music and talent-led content. From intimate live sessions to large-scale music videos and celebrity features, he has worked with a diverse roster of global talent, including John Legend, Moby, Bastille, Niall Horan, and Lights. His work in this space is defined by an ability to capture the authentic personality behind the fame.

Niall Horan 1883 Magazine Issue X

I filmed this interview with global superstar Niall Horan for Issue X of 1883 Magazine, capturing a relaxed and candid conversation that reflects his journey beyond One Direction. Shot with a stripped-back, intimate approach, the film focuses on personality, process, and perspective, offering a closer look at Niall at this stage of his career.

Coco Derenne - The Restoration Act - Sweden

This film was made as part of Coco Derenne’s month-long Inhabitant Zero residency in Kalejdohill, Sweden, following her research and development project The Restoration Act. The film documents the final exhibition, which transformed the yellow house into a living museum, presenting over 50 objects restored, repaired, and reworked by the artist after being donated by Järfälla residents as part of an amnesty of broken things. Some objects retain their original form, while others are re-appropriated into multi-sensory installations. The film also captures the launch of The Family Knife, a small publication of prose and poetry by the artist, and reflects a project that received coverage from Stockholm’s P5 radio, national newspaper Dagens Nyheter, and local press.

UAL Visual Disruption 14-18 Art Installation

The UAL Visual Disruption 14–18 Art Installation was documented by filmmaker and photographer Logan Irvine-MacDougall, focusing on students as they developed and delivered the project as part of the national 14–18 NOW arts programme marking the centenary of the First World War. The film captures the process behind the work — from making and collaboration to installation — exploring how themes of culture, memory, and visual disruption were interpreted through student-led practice within a wider programme of contemporary commemorative art.

On Ancestral Fire - Casa Julfa - France

I filmed a residency portrait at Casa Julfa focused on Corinne Aivazian and her practice within the space. Immersing myself in the daily rhythms of the house and landscape, I worked closely with Corinne to create a film that reflects her way of living, thinking, and making at Casa Julfa. The film captures the intimacy of process and place, offering a quiet, observational portrait shaped by collaboration, attentiveness, and shared time.

Michaela Gall’s Plates - Broadwick Hotel - London

I filmed this project with ceramic artist Michaela Gall as she created a series of handmade plates for the restaurant at Broadwick Soho. Working closely with the artist, the film follows her making process in the studio — from shaping the clay to refining surface and form — focusing on material, movement, and the quiet precision of craft. Shot with a small, unobtrusive setup, the piece places the viewer alongside the maker, capturing the connection between handmade objects and the hospitality spaces they are created for.

The Vamps 1883 Magazine

I filmed this piece with The Vamps, set in a church ahead of their Brazil tour, centred around the release of their number one album Night & Day. Shot with a stripped-back, atmospheric approach, the film focuses on mood, presence, and performance, using the setting to create a quiet contrast to the energy of touring and the scale of the album’s success.

Town Hall Hotel - Basic Instinct (1000 KIsses Goodnight) by Corinne Felgate

This short film documents Corinne Felgate’s commissioned installation at Town Hall Hotel, focusing on Basic Instinct (1000 Kisses Goodnight), situated at the base of the Edwardian staircase. The work is a solid plaster panel composed of 1,000 individual casts of kisses collected from people connected to the building — including hotel staff, local residents, shopkeepers, and school children — over the course of a year. The film captures the collaborative nature of the process and the transformation of an intimate, everyday gesture into a permanent sculptural monument reflecting past, present, and future.

Heida Reed Fashion BTS 1883 Magazine

I filmed this interview with Icelandic actress Heida Reed, capturing a moment during her breakout year as she moved from the BBC hit Poldark to starring in her new play Scarlet at the Southwark Playhouse. Shot in an East London club, the film features an intimate conversation about her rise to fame, her work in drama, and her roots in Reykjavík, creating a relaxed, candid portrait of an actress at a pivotal point in her career.
